My Last FULL DAY At BLOGHER 2011 & The San Diego Zoo...INCREDIBLE!

So, my second morning in San Diego, for the 2011 Blogher Conference was relaxing and enjoyable.  Why?  Ummm...I have a hotel room all to myself!  That's right!  If I want to run around in my bra & undies (or absolutely nothing), I can do that without someone pointing out that mommy has a flabby booty or someone reciting, "I see London, I see France...".
    You get the point.

Can you tell from the picture I am loving the freedom of sleep, quietness, space and am treasuring this MOMMY TIME?
(I actually had a friend make a comment on this photo yesterday that I was by far her most "PHOTOGRAPHED" friend...wasn't sure if that was a compliment or what...but I do love taking pictures!)

So, my morning started out with a party first...a BRUNCH of sorts.  One I wouldn't miss...because it was Disney Baby!

I got to meet Pooh (my oldest son's nursery was decorated in Pooh Bear...he's timeless)

And see some of their new onesie line...

But the best part about the brunch for me was FELIPE...that's right...he worked the biggest KNOT ever out of my right shoulder!  He did such an amazing job, I kissed him on the cheek when I got up to leave!  He smiled and the other ladies giggled...but seriously, I was so relaxed, I almost (LITERALLY) fell asleep, and that doesn't happen for me.

Okay, gotta admit their SWAG BAG wasn't half bad either!

Then I headed to check out more BLOGHER 2011 expo booths.  I was interviewed by Twizzlers...
(isn't this Twizzler Statue of Liberty amazing?  They told me it took over 300 hours to put it together)
    Photobucket
I met the Jimmy Dean Sun (I met him last year too)...
    Photobucket
And the pringles guy...(does he have a name?)
    Photobucket
I got "PICKED UP" on by these guys
(my husband left the comment..."How Does That Happen?" on this picture...cracked me up)
    Photobucket
I also got to meet one of my MOMMY BLOGGER friends in person. Her blogspot is http://livingwithlogan.com/  and she has 7 KIDS! Can you believe that?
    Photobucket
Then I met up with some ladies (my friend Lisa from http://www.growingyourbaby.com/ and my friend Hollie from http://www.babygizmo.com/).

We wandered through the Queen Bee Market (all handmade products...sort of like ETSY in a building) and headed to lunch!
    Photobucket
I took a picture with the http://www.skinnyscoop.com/ girls!  They are great! I mean...read their shirts!
    Photobucket
And then after a wardrobe change...

Lisa (http://www.growingyourbaby.com/) and I headed to the San Diego Zoo.  MY FIRST TRIP EVER!!  I was so excited!!  SOOOOOO Excited!
    Photobucket
We saw flamingos (which are a little smelly, but breathtaking to look at)...
    Photobucket
    Photobucket
    Photobucket
We saw GORILLAS...my favorite animal, and they were interactive with us and it was INCREDIBLE...
    Photobucket
    We saw the Pandas...
    Photobucket
We saw a Mommy & Baby Hippo swimming together (it was breathtaking and scary all wrapped up in one...because the mom had to literally push the baby out to get air...I was a nervous wreck)
    Photobucket
We saw a sleeping Polar Bear...
    Photobucket
We saw so much, but unfortunately, my phone died and my camera was left at the hotel...so that's all the pictures I got!  I think you get the point.  If you've never been to the San Diego Zoo before and you have the chance...GO!  SERIOUSLY...the best zoo I've ever been too!  Loved it!

We ended our day with a walk to Seaport Village, had dinner at a restaurant where we could see the fireworks (I had fish tacos...since I won't be getting those in CT anytime soon) and then headed back to my hotel to call it a night, pack up my stuff and get ready for check out this morning.

That was pretty much my day #2 in a nutshell.  Are you tired from just reading this post?  Think about how tired my legs were yesterday!  But it was definitely worth it!!  My experience at Blogher 2011 has been equally, if not more amazing than last year's BLOGHER.  I can't wait for Blogher 2012 in NYC.  That will be exciting as well!
