You know it and I know it...there is absolutely no place else in the US like San Diego. The weather is perfect year round, people are friendly, there's great food, great shopping and a gorgeous selection of beaches to choose from. Hence my excitement of being back in San Diego again.
So...last night, after a long day of traveling, I made my way to a PERK of being in San Diego for BLOGHER 2011...a PARTY! My first of this weekend! It was "THE BIG TOY BOOK's SWEET SUITE EVENT" at the HardRock Hotel. I met some ladies in the lobby that were bloggers as well (no...I didn't know them before that moment) and we made our way to check in and see what the party was all about.
I got to play with adorable dolls from Adora (they feel like holding a real baby...and look so amazingly real).
I got to check out some cool new building toys (My oldest son is going to go crazy over) called KRE-O (Hasbro product).
I got to even try playing Kinect (yes...I went to Disneyland and played on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride...how cool is that?)
I left the party with a HUGE (no exaggerating...my suitcase will be filled up already with just the stuff from the party) SWAG BAG, full of products from the sponsors of the party, business cards (cause a good connection is important) and enough stuff to celebrate CHRISTMAS when I get home...with my kids. Or they will think so at least!
After dropping off my bag in my room (and noticing the nice PERK from staying at the Omni in San Diego...complimentary bottle of water, filled up ice bucket and a sweet note thanking me for my stay)...I headed out to explore some of what I was missing about SAN DIEGO!!
This Gaslamp District (a HUGE Perk of San Diego) brings me back so many memories. WE spent many a night in the Gaslamp district...making awesome memories.
The Old Spaghetti Factory (I had a few dates there) and one of the places my parents & sis loved eating at when they came to visit me.
FISH TACOS...and I'm talking good ones! Last night I had ahi tuna fish tacos and they were amazing! Had to top it off with a Mojito...cause I'm in San Diego, kid free (another perk).
Then I came home to a quiet hotel room...where I took an awesome bath, answered e-mails and headed to bed.
So there you go...only here for a few hours already and so MANY perks to being in San Diego for BLOGHER 2011!!
