So, my husband crawled into bed last night and flipped on the television. I'm not going to lie...this irritated me, because I was already trying to go to sleep. Then he tells me, "The PRESIDENT is suppose to speak. It was suppose to be at 10:30, then they pushed it back to 10:45." Meanwhile, we watched Geraldo (who I still see as a television talk show host) receive breaking news that Osama Bin Laden had been confirmed dead! His excited was oozing out all over the television set! As they were able, reporters and government officials voices came on t.v. sharing small details about this AMAZING announcement.
This man, who has terrorized our Nation, kept our troops hunting and our country fearful of the next attack had been killed by a US bomb. Although I am not one who typically praises the death of someone...I THANK JESUS that they finally managed to rid the world of him. I can imagine that not only every house in the USA were celebrating last night (facebook profile updates showed that evidence), but people over seas must feel some relief too. These terrorist leaders make life miserable for most everyone they come in contact with...
So, with that I say THANK YOU to our troops! Without them...this Mission would not have been accomplished. I know the President will take most of the credit for finally nabbing him, but truly...he didn't do anything more than sign a paper or give a directive. The people taking action are our husbands & wives...our family & friends who are fighting for our freedom over there!
They are the ones that deserve the PRAISE and CREDIT for this job well done!
Now, I am praying for protection over the US. Even though this horrible leader is gone...I have a feeling it is not over! Don't you think this followers are going to be truly upset with us that he's gone? I am worried about the backlash, but praying GOD's hand will be upon it all...as it has been these almost 10 years since the SEPTEMBER 11th event that marked each of our lives in a dramatic way.
