Jade is the third dog we've adopted...since we've been married! And with every dog, we have been very consistent about our pets not being allowed on our furniture. Why? They ruin it! Muddy feet, chewing and biting, dog hair, etc. You get the idea. Who wants to sit on a couch that has been claimed by a dog? Having my kids on the furniture is bad enough!
However, Jade is insistent about getting on our couch in our office. It drives me crazy and the second she knows I see her...she jumps off. I was able to snap a quick picture (GUILTY AS CHARGED) today, as she perched herself so owningly on our couch...and as soon as the picture was snapped, immediately jumped down.
The only exception in our house is the FOMBAG (http://www.fombag.com/), which I do allow her to get on. She loves it because she can see out the window when she stands on it...she can lay on it and chew her toys, etc. So far, she hasn't DAMAGED it and something tells me she might not...because she loves it as much as the rest of our family does!
Anyway, I was just curious what the PET POLICY was in your home! Are we weird not allowing our pets on our furniture? Do you let your pets sleep in bed with you? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this topic!
