So, as you know...our two year old has enjoyed going pee pee in very interesting places. His newest thing is to pee while he's outside. He loves to pee off our back porch (because it takes awhile to hit the ground below), he loves to pee as he's walking down the street, he loves to pee in the grass, in the flower bed, etc. It really doesn't matter where...if he's outside, he loves to pee.
Teaching him that this is not acceptable, is becoming quite a chore. He'll pull his "PART" out and just starting peeing, no matter who's around and several times during a typical "OUTDOOR" playtime experience.
Will he ever outgrow this phase? Marking his territory like a puppy dog?
I have to say, the chances are slim he'll completely grow out of it...though he will learn to govern when it's appropriate or not. The nine year old learned after embarrassing himself in front of the neighbor kids (when he peed in the front yard, cause he couldn't make it inside...after he got off the bus). Does that mean that the nine year old does not pee outside anymore? No...it just means that he makes sure no one is looking when he does it. Ha Ha Ha!!
