One of the things that I really like about living in Connecticut, is the fact that we live so close to New York City. We can either hop on the train or get in the car, but either way, we arrive in about an hour and fifteen minutes...in the heart of NYC. This always makes me smile! There's just something about that CITY!
Last night, my husband's cousin and his wife, who came from OHIO (to celebrate their 16th wedding anniversary) and we were able to meet up with them, walk the streets of Time Square, enjoy some dinner, a quick catching up on each other's lives & families and then it was a quick ride back home for us.
So thankful to the babysitter that, not only toughed out a long evening with our four rambunctious kids...but also dealt with them in a very, very warm (non air conditioned house) so we could go. She's awesome!
It was a fun night, good eats, 2 hours for driving time for my husband and me to talk about our lives and a great time in NYC for the evening.
