Our son, who will be 10 in August, has just completed reading his very first "LARGE" chapter book. Up to this point...getting him to read has been like PULLING HIS TEETH OUT! Looks like that might be a thing of the past! YAY!
He read J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Enchanting Prelude to Lord Of The Rings...THE HOBBIT".
306 pages of small print writing and he read every word! Plus...it seems that by reading this book, we have finally found something that has sparked his interest...needless to say...we ordered the rest of the series for him to read this summer!
