One word can describe our true reason:
JADE (the puppy)
Tonight, while the kids and I were outside, I had her on her tether, so she could play. Suddenly, our seven year old makes a LOUD AND CLEAR announcement, "MOM...Jade pulled out the tree!"
What? What the heck was she talking about?
I turn around to find the dog tangled in the tree & stakes. Her tether wrapped all around it and the poor broken off tree was snapped like a twig. OH GREAT! My oldest son was about in tears, "Oh no...the poor apple tree! It's DEAD! Can we save it?"
"Umm...sorry honey", I said, "but she snapped it off and the roots are still in the ground! It's not saveable!"
Not only is our dog digging holes in the grass...but now she's breaking the trees off at the base and dragging them around the yard like it's nothing.
Oh the joys of having such a large and in charge dog!
