We just started out the 2011-2012 School Year! Do you understand what that means? It means that everyday, there a teacher who gets themselves dressed, fed and mentally prepared to deal with OUR children five days a week. Not just deal with them, but teach them all the skills they will need as adults.
Have you ever thought about how difficult that job is? I mean...truly thought about it? I have and I am so appreciative for my children's teachers! I know I couldn't do it! They form and inspire young minds to grow in knowledge and understanding...all without loosing their nerve.
I received a book in the mail to review/feature that not only touched me deeply, but made me think about so many of my friends who are "TEACHERS", who I know would love it as much as I do! I just might have to buy one copy for each of them!
It's called "Teaching Is..." by Marjan Glavac and it captures the moments that, for so many teachers are a blink...but can have such a huge impact on that person's career (reward wise). In fact, the title includes the statement: MOMENTS THAT INSPIRE AND MOTIVATE TEACHERS TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. This speaker and elementary school teacher (of over 29 years) has collected many thoughts for teachers to ponder about, smile about and be encouraged by the impact they make on every generation of children.

Wow! Teachers do amazing works with our kids, right? Perhaps you should consider this book as a special gift to show your children's teachers just how much you appreciate the difference they are making in the lives of your kids? I bet they will be deeply touched by it.
