My poor babies! They never slept good! They still don't...to be quite honest!
Let me tell you, there is nothing more exhausting for a new mommy, then to have a baby waking up all night long, or every time they move, they wake themselves up. Because babies are used to being all snuggled and cuddled inside our bodies (they are pretty restricted while we are pregnant)...they are not used to being able to throw their arms and legs around...which is quite startling and upsetting to them. As their body reflexes...this can disturb the baby's peaceful sleep...also interrupting the mom's...because she has to console & soothe her baby back to sleep.
Trust me...if there were products, like there are now...for mommies & babies...I would have been far more rested than I was as a new mommy. I called it "WALKING ZOMBIE" syndrome, because for weeks & months, I seriously GOT very little sleep.
