The end of the school year is quickly approaching! It seems like, despite the long winter we all had, school just started...at least to me! I guess if you ask my kids, they probably would give you another side of the story.
Anyway, since I am not able to "help" in the classrooms of my two that are already in school, because I have two younger ones at home...I always try to think of a special "GIFT" I can give the teachers at the end of the year to show my gratitude!
BEING A TEACHER IS FAR FROM AN EASY JOB!
I've been asked why I don't home school (I guess because we have more than two kids??) or if I would ever consider doing it, and I truthfully have to laugh. I am pretty sure that the individuals who go to school to earn in a "teaching degree", are much better prepared to teach my kids the fundamentals of reading, writing and arithmetic than I am. I know that there are some superb HOMESCHOOLING mommies out there, that have patience of steel and a schedule down pat...and they are able to do as well of a job (if not better) than some teachers. But that being said...I am not one of those mommies! I like to leave the teaching to the experts!
So my question for you...do you gift your child's teacher with something special at the end of the year? If so...what do you give them? Please take a second and answer this quick poll:
