In 2009, our family had the opportunity to watch every single stage of the Monarch Butterfly. From the small, opalescent egg, to a growing HUNGRY caterpillar, then a beautiful GOLDEN marked chrysalis, to an amazing BRILLIANT butterfly!
Next week, I am going to take you through our butterfly journey again!
Get excited...this is an experience you can do with your kids for practically NOTHING! As you'll read, it requires very little maintenance, very little effort and the milkweed is free (if you can find yourself a patch to cut from). However, the experience you'll gain from watching this process is absolutely PRICELESS! SERIOUSLY!!
