It doesn't matter what shape you're in, what size you are, or even how excited & hopeful you are...bathing suit shopping HURTS! Not physically, but it's emotionally painful to take. I can leave the house with the most positive attitude towards bathing suit shopping and by the time I get home (even if I do end up getting one), I still feel less attractive, less physically fit and feeling blah.
I know I am not alone, right ladies?
Well, you guessed it...I went bathing suit shopping tonight. The kids have been pestering to go to the public pool and this mommy is a bit modest when it comes to being around others in a bathing suit. So, as all women do, I left the house with an image in my mind of what I wanted to find. I wanted a plain, simple & flattering tankini.
I walked the entire mall (no exaggerating) and stopped in every store I could think of (even some that didn't) that might have swimwear and very much to my dismay...I FOUND NOTHING! STRIKE OUT at the mall. Boo! I wasn't feeling happy about this and I knew the kids were not going to be happy either...so my husband suggested we check Kohls.

Thank goodness...they had something, although it was THE ONLY suit in the entire store that I was even remotely interested in. When I say modest, I am not talking about tasteless, GRANNYISH or ugly...I just want something that is covering all my PARTS...if you get my drift.
Anyway, I am thankful that I found one and the kids are happy because we will probably be making a getaway to the area public pool to swim this week. YAY for summer!
