I had a doctor's appointment today in New Haven, CT., so my husband came home to stay with the kids so I could go. I got in the car, cranked up the radio and set in for the 30 minute drive to get there...only to hear that there was an AMBER ALERT in our area...and the possible suspect could very possibly have been heading in the same direction as I was, on the same freeway, at the same time!!
Evidently, this 23 year old man (who is a suspect in three homicides) abducted his girlfriend and their 4 month old son this afternoon and is on the RUN. Driving a Black 2003 Mustang. YIKES!! CLICK HERE if you want all the details about it!
My radar immediately went on and I spent the rest of the drive watching for the car, worrying about that lady and wondering what I was suppose to do if I spotted them. I had no clue.
Hence...why I am writing this blog post. Call 911 and give them details. I knew Amber Alerts were to notify of KIDNAPPINGS in the areas, but I had never researched or knew what I was suppose to do if I saw someone that had been abducted or the KIDNAPPER.
I hope they catch this guy and that his girlfriend & baby go unharmed. It terrifies me that there is so much of this going on in the world. I feel for that poor girl and that sweet baby. Praying that they are safe and sound tonight, back where they should be and this crazy guy is behind bars...where he belongs!
