Some people think they are cute! Some people appreciate their ability to make honey for your family. Some people aren't bothered by them at all. But me, I must be an exception (of course to many rules), but especially when it comes to Bees.
I am terrified of them!
It may have a little something to do with my mom...because she's allergic, so I've always grown up wondering if I got stung, if my throat would close up and I'd die from it. Therefore, when I see a bee...I run, not for fear of the sting (I mean, I've had four babies...a little poke doesn't scare me), but the wonder if I'll have a reaction from it. I feel bad, because I have passed this paranoia on to my kids as well, but I don't know they are allergic either. I'd hate to find out the hard way.
I tell myself, just leave them alone and they won't bother you. However, when they come anywhere near me, I go screaming away (with arms flailing in the air) and do everything I can to avoid them at all cost.
