How Much Are You Willing To Pay For That "MAGICAL" Disney Experience?

Everyone wants their kids to experience that "MAGICAL" day at Disneyland, right?  It was one of my goals before leaving California and thankfully, we were able to spend a great day in both Disneyland and California Adventure parks.

However, with a family the size of ours...ticket prices are important.  In fact, I know they are important to even smaller families!  Why?  If it's not cost effective, we cannot do it.  No matter how much we want to enjoy a day at the HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH.

I recently saw someone on Facebook post that tickets to Disneyland were nearing $100 a day for a 1 day pass.  What?  Seriously?  The thing that gets me about that...you don't just pay for the tickets to get in (for our family that would be close to $600 just to get in the park).  Then you know you're going to have to eat and the AMUSEMENT park food super expensive for what you get.  A typical hamburger kids meal is pushing $10.  YIKES!  That means, if we eat two meals and each get only those type of meals, we will be spending close to $150 on food...not including candy, snacks, additional drinks throughout the day, etc.

Not sure about you, but if you're taking your kids to Disneyland, they are going to also want a special MEMENTO to remember their time there.  Have you been in the souvenir shops?  With four kids, we can't leave the shop without dropping almost another $100 in "special things".

By the end of the day...we will have spent nearly $1000 for a day at Disneyland with our family.  We could rent a vacation house for a week for that price.  HOLY MOLY!

I know that Disney has lots of expenses to pay for, that their parks are immaculate & safe, etc., but the prices keep creeping UPWARDS.  I wish they would take into account families that really want their kids to have this "MAGICAL" experience, but cannot afford to spend $1000 for a fun day at the park.
There...I've vented.  Not sure when we'll be making our next "DISNEY" trip...but hopefully it will be sooner rather than later, because we truly love it!  There's nothing like it!  Maybe that's why we would be willing to drop that LARGE amount of money on a single day of memory making for our kids.  MAYBE??

Think about it...are you willing to spend that kind of money for your kids to experience DISNEY?
