Today, our mission with our Staycation was to re-coop from yesterday's busy day in THE BIG APPLE and the full day Saturday driving from Ohio to get here.
We started the day very slowly, with some cinnamon rolls, the kids played their games, we got around and headed to Target to do some necessary shopping. WE WERE OUT OF MILK! A house with six kids living in it, cannot survive without MILK.
We came home, some napped, other's played outside and there was even some card playing.
My nephew challenged me to a ONE on ONE basketball game and of course, he whooped my rear end.
Then...my sister in law and I had a ENCHILADA challenge. She made ground beef ones with green chili enchilada sauce. I made shredded chicken ones with red enchilada sauce. Both turned out great and it was tie at who's was the best. Regardless...it was a great idea for dinner and a fun challenge for both of us.
After dinner, we decided it was time to let the kids run off some energy, so we headed to the park.
Even my sister in law and I got into the PLAY time.
We headed home, got the kids cleaned up and ready for bed and just hung out...SPENDING QUALITY time with family is awesome! I am so glad they came to STAYCATION with us, instead of taking their vacation somewhere else (without us). We are already planning our vacation next year. Perhaps Jamaica?
