Not sure about your little girls...but mine love to do "projects". Especially those that involve glitter, jewelry, color and BLING!
That's why I knew that my girls were going to be super excited to check out the new Opti-Art Kits. Not only because I knew this would bring creativity to an all time high, but also because these kits are "less mess" and easy to do...so I was excited about these kits too! Plus...I'll admit that this mommy love these types of projects too. What girl doesn't like to make pretty things?
If you can't tell from their little faces...they were elated to receive these kits for review and we took full advantage of the 2 year old's nap time and enjoyed the QUIET to "create" our awesome hair accessories and fantastic jewelry box & jewels.
The first kit we decided to try was the Opti-Art Hair Accessories Kit.
Not only can you create awesome jewels "THAT POP" but you can make headbands, hair clips, and even decorated covered bands. My girls went nuts designing their own things.
And I wasn't wrong about it. The kits are easy to do, as long as you take your time. We learned, from experience, that you have to let the glue set, before you can "fully" finish your projects. A little patience goes a long way.
We created some fabulous things!
The second kit we tried was the Opti-Art Jewelry Box and Accessories Kit. I let the 7 year old be in charge of decorating the jewelry box
...while the 5 year old and I designed our own rings and bracelet. How fun is this?
The jewelry box turned out beautifully after a lot of concentrated coloring and application of the gems.
And she loved wearing the bracelet as an anklet and her beautiful new ring!
