So, I was doing some surfing online today to see if I could find some videos that could show me simple, easy and teachable ways to get my kids to learn to be comfortable in the water, how to hold their breath, learn basic swim strokes, etc.
I happened upon a YouTube Playlist that is amazing:
They start at the beginning and take you through...and I would suggest having your child watch them with you and then practicing them in the pool immediately after.
I am a big paranoid worry wart (and I am putting that mildly) when it comes to my kids being around a pool...for fear of one of them drowning. This put me a lot more at ease...as a simple way to break in the kids to get courageous in the water, start learning basics and maybe even "REALLY" learn to swim.
