Call me corny...but I love to dress our family up "matching" for SPECIAL holidays. Easter is one that I am allowed to coordinate outfits, mainly because we try to get a decent "family picture" at that date each year. Here's a picture from our EASTER last year...so you have a better idea of what I'm talking about.
So yesterday I was on a mission. To get all the outfits ready for Easter. This can be quite a challenge with girls that have such different tastes (yes, already) in clothing. Two boys who are not very close in age range (finding the same shirt in a small boy & larger boy's size). And then, a mommy who can never seem to find anything for herself when she's shopping, etc.
Our five year old, luckily...has an awesome dress coming from http://www.pinkprincess.com/ , so her shopping (aside from shoes, which we found at Marshalls) was pretty much completed when I headed out. It was also the inspiration behind our "COLOR PALLET" for this year's EASTER dress.
Our first stop at the mall was "The Children's Place", where I found these brown polo shirts (that matched) for the boys. Though they aren't as dressy (not button down with ties) as we've done in the past, this will work and we'll have a more casually dressed Easter Sunday this year.
Next up, we searched for a dress for our oldest daughter. She is by far...the PICKIEST when it comes to her clothing. She fell in love with this dress and wouldn't take no for an answer. Since it was on sale for over "half" price (got an even better deal in the store than they are selling it online), I couldn't really say, "no" either! Plus, I know she won't throw a fit on Easter morning when I am getting everyone ready, since she picked out the dress completely on her own.
Finding Daddy a shirt that would work (because he does like to be a little more dressy for church) was simple. Target, my "GO TO" store had an awesome shirt that I knew would work perfect for our color scheme and hopefully he'll like wearing too.
Finally...it was time to find mommy something. I tried on dresses in a few stores, but like I said before, "I can never find anything" when I am shopping for myself. I came home, upset and distraught, but started frantically searching the web and found this amazing dress (which I hope fits when it arrives) from Dillards.com. Isn't it pretty?
So there you have it...our Easter outfits we'll be wearing a week from today, to celebrate our SAVIOR'S Resurrection! There will be smiles for miles, Easter Egg Hunting and hopefully some good pictures of our family taken then too!
I really can't believe that Easter is only 1 week away...can you?
