We've had three dogs, over the course of our almost ten years of marriage. All three were/are larger breeds and required quite a bit of food and water. After about 2 weeks of tending to a feeding bowl and refilling (several times a day) a water bowl, I got wise and searched out a feeding system that would require very little maintenance on my part. Not because I am lazy, just to busy to be bothering myself with filling up food and water bowls all day long.
That's when I found Petmate Gravity Feeding products at my Walmart store in California. It was love at first sight! I am not kidding you...this system is awesome. You fill up the food container and as the dog eats, the food gradually (thanks to gravity) fills up the bowl. The watering system, in the same manner, keeps the bowl only full to a certain point, making this a fool proof system.
Once we got JADE, I ran out to buy these PetMate Gravity Feeding & Watering containers again. I love them! My little guy (2 year old) is on food/water watch...and he lets me know when Jade's getting close to empty, so we can refill.
