Depending on how you see it, Madonna's "secret week-end" with A-Rod and her recent mouth-to-mouth resuscitation of a Kabbalist in his '70s may or may not have been the catalysts that led to the break up the Queen of Pop's "relationship" with her 23 year-old model/DJ boyfriend, Brazilian Jesus Luz.
The Chicago Sun Times reports that it was actually Jesus who broke up with Madge - and she's OK with that:
While it's true that Madonna and Jesus Luz, her boytoy of the past year, have gone their separate ways - it not only was totally amicable, but it was Luz who initiated the split. Apparently, the 23-year-old Brazilian realized their age difference (she's 51) and overall lack of mutual interests nixed a long-term relationship.
Since Jesus will no longer be reaching his hands into Madonna's petty cash collection box, he'll have to focus harder on his DJ and modeling career without any "divine intervention"… One thing he doesn't have to worry about is having a nice place in the Big Apple to call "home".
Much to the chagrin of her critics, Madonna always gets her way in the end - with or without child. Just ask Mercy.
