The Pop Warner Program is not only a intense and highly involved program for the kids to participate in...it's extremely demanding on the families who put their children in their sports. We spend every single week night of August (not exaggerating), three times a week during September & October and our weekends (once the game season begins)...watching the kids practice & play while cheering on our teams.
Two hours a night...every night...I load up the four kids and we head to the school so my oldest son can practice with his football team...
And my oldest daughter can get her CHEER on...
Meanwhile the rest of us have to find other ways of entertaining ourselves, while we sit and wait for their practice to be over.
Some nights...the kids have a great time and find ways to play & the time flies by!
Some nights...the 2 hours seems like an eternity, especially for me,when I know there are things at home I could & would much rather be doing.
Is it worth it? ABSOLUTELY! Is it a sacrifice! MOST DEFINITELY! Will it benefit my kids that we were there every night, so they could learn teamwork, fine tuning of a sport and possibly a lifetime passion? UNDOUBTIDLY SO!
But in case you're wondering...during this time of the year...
this mommy is anything but BORED!!
